FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does Troven do?

We orchestrate the capabilities required to build, launch, operate and scale financial products in Africa. That spans strategy, technology and infrastructure, compliance and licensing, talent and leadership, partnerships, and market expansion. You bring the objective; we assemble and coordinate everything needed to reach it.

Are you a consultancy, a vendor or a recruitment firm?

None of those on their own. We don't sell software licences, we don't bill consulting hours as the product, and we don't simply supply headcount. We solve business problems by combining independent advice with an ecosystem of trusted specialists, providers and operators — and we stay accountable through execution.

How do you stay independent in your recommendations?

Our model doesn't depend on which provider you choose. We don't resell technology or take vendor commissions, so recommendations are made on fit with your stage, budget and regulatory environment.

Can we engage you for just one capability?

Yes. Some clients need a single piece — a licensing route, a core banking selection, a country lead — and others need an entire operating model. The engagement is scoped to what you actually need.

Which markets do you cover?

Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda and Francophone Africa, with pan-African expansion support covering regulatory navigation, partner sourcing, localisation and commercial launch.

How does an engagement start?

With a strategy session. You tell us the objective, we assess where the business is today, and we come back with the capability gaps, the sequence to address them in, and who should be involved. From there we design the roadmap and assemble the ecosystem.

Do you still place talent?

Yes — talent and leadership is one of our six domains, covering executive search, engineering and commercial hiring, interim and fractional executives, board advisors and technical specialists. Individuals can join our talent network directly through the site.
